1.
Anxiety
Anxiety is characterised by experiencing feelings of concern, unease, or nervousness about a situation with an uncertain outcome. It involves having a strong desire or concern for something to happen or to accomplish a specific task. Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD) is a condition in which individuals experience anxiety on a regular basis, worrying about a multitude of different things for a continuous period of six months or longer. This can include various forms of anxiety such as social anxiety, panic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
2.
Depression
Depression is characterised by a prolonged state of low mood that can significantly impact one's daily life. In its mildest form, depression may manifest as feeling down or having a lack of spirits. While it might not hinder one's ability to carry out regular activities, it can make everything feel more challenging and less meaningful. However, in its most severe manifestation, depression can pose a threat to life.
3.
Emotional abuse
Emotional abuse, although not physically tangible, has the power to impact one's mental state and behaviour. This type of abuse involves one person subjecting or exposing another to behaviours that can lead to psychological trauma, such as anxiety, persistent depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder.
While emotional abuse may not be something that can be physically touched, its effects are undoubtedly felt. If left unattended and unaddressed, it can have long-lasting consequences on an individual.
4.
Low self confidence
Low self-confidence falls under the category of low self-esteem and is characterised by a lack of belief in oneself and feeling negative about one's own abilities. Individuals with low self-esteem often experience feelings of being unloved, socially awkward, and incompetent. They tend to perceive rejection and disapproval in every situation, even when it may not be warranted.
